nyykiI've always loved the song "Industrial Disease" by Dire straits. It's so much fun. So when I mentioned it to a former friend she grabbed her cassette of the album it's on, Love Over Gold, so we could listen to it while out running errands.
This is the first track on the album. It blew me away. Long form Dylanesque songwriting, with a great sound and composition and a cool guitar riff. And check all those wonderful moods. I play guitar like Mark Knopfler does, at least in that I play with the pads of the fingers instead of using a pick. I don't have anywhere the skill he does of course. And I was surprised that the wiring plan for my strat is very close to his "Dream Machine" guitar., something I found out about about five years after I'd formulated the design.
