Writing and Sleeping Stuff
Oct. 31st, 2025 08:23 pmLet’s see if this works right – I’ve been avoiding posting links here because I don’t know if I have the formatting right – there was something special to do to a link back in the LJ days, but some of those formats changed here.
Check out www.magnetsandladders.org for my story, “Zeke Weatherly, All of Them” in their current Fall and Winter 2005 issue. This is in a series I’m writing about the traditional elements (earth, air, fire, and water along with some additional ones like electricity, cold, light, darkness, and so on) and they’ve published three of them so far (they’ve also passed on two of them).
I’ve got my new bed set up, thanks to me paying extra money to get a professional installer familiar with Wayfair’s products to put it together. Now I have that rarest of things, empty shelves. Here’s the one I went with, though in brown instead of the weathered gray:

I’ll get things put back less fast this time, because it took me about four days to stop hurting because I way overextended myself
After today’s editing session (and 1.5 hours of searching in vain for a 16" replacement seat for a café chair in speckled green cloth and a couple of other things) we’re eighteen pages from the end of Love is a Battlefield. That’s a complex eighteen pages with a wide array of emotions in it. I’ll be curious about what
lanalucy picks next – there are several good options.
And here we are at the end of the harvest season. I hope all of y’all got a lot out of the harvest this time around.
