The Scotus recently cornholed the fifth amendment with their eminent domain ruling. The jist of it is that the government can seize your property if the community has more value for it than you do for some venture, civic or private. It is a fundamental blow to the conceptthat the government serves us instead of us being resources for the government -- in short, it is fundamental to the difference between repa free society and a fascist one.
A California gentleman has tendered a proposal to Justice David Suter's home town that his residence would serve the town's interests more as a bed and breakfast than as a private residence, and the town council is looking at the proposal in a very interested manner. Suter voted for the butt-rape of the fifth amendment.
Justice Suter, the clucking sound you're hearing is the chickens coming home to roost. Perhaps next time, you'll think more carefully on the ramifications of your decisions, thought living in a refrigerator crate tends to focus the mind a bit...
