Step One:

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The
wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD")
to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly
want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just
your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two:

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals, or the community above) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the
important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and
if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound
for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday
elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll
have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1) My sight back. I have a lot of friends I'd like to see their faces again or for the first time. Besides, it's not fair that I don't have to suffer with
the bad combovers, really tanned blondes with pale pink lipstick, and obese persons wearing too tight stretch pants like the rest of you do.

2) DVD’s of the Marx Brothers, Babylon 5 seasons 1 and 3-5, and Stargate Seasons 5 on.

3) Assistance in indexing my books that I want to scan. I have several boxes of them, and I need to get a list, then start tracking down digital copies of them, and scanning the ones I can’t find in either digital or audio format. I also need my gaming books in digital formats. (Rolemaster 2nd edition, GURPS 3 ed, All versions of Gamma World except D20, TMNT, Traveller, The original Star Trek RPG, Thieves’ Guild, and James Bond RPG) I also need help going through a bunches of boxes of papers and binders to get the material in them scanned or found, as well as my personally created and rare gaming materials scanned.

4) Someone to come by and read me the installments of the transcendent comic Strangers in Paradise that have come out since I lost my sight.

5) Someone to come over and help me get my new live rig set up. It’ll involve some program setup, Some cabling, a bit of downloading, and some soldering and drilling.

6) I need someone to assist me in going through my closet to get rid of shirts that have grown holes, store the ones that have grown holes but have interesting things on them for the comforter I’m going to have made, and to find things that have stains so I can get rid of them as well.

7) gift certificates to Target, JC Penney, foleys, Elictrique Boutique, and Nordstroms so that I can do a bit of wardrobe maintenance.

8) A decent food steamer, or at the very least, the timer knob for a Magic Chef fs-1 e138980 food steamer. I miss my steamer, and it still works but the knob shattered.

9) A cheap Violin. I need to keep those skills up. Full size is what I need, not one of those three quarter sized ones. It’ll need a decent bow, too, but I can get new strings for it.

10) someone to assist me in transcribing my grandmother's recipes into the computer. Since they're handwritten, scanning won't work, especially for the
ones she wrote in red ink.

You can contact me at nyyki at gypsyheir dot com for location for any of this.
