Be Careful What You Ask For...

At CMA Beltaine my Freedom by Fire Ritual became the Friday night ritual. This is a very powerful ritual that can be extremely transformative.

One of the benefits of doing this ritual was that for the first time ever I had enough "collaborators" to allow me to actually do the ritual myself. I've had to spectate the process as I ran the ritual in the past. So now I could benefit from it.

The ritual is about letting things go in your life by symbolically forcing them into a basket and then throwing the basket into the fire. I actually got to do this for once, and this is really kicking my butt from my ankles to my sholder blades. The things this has brought up in my psyche are catching me by surprise as I start to re-work several things in my life and start to integrate new paradigms into it.

This time, I added a new component -- a promise exacted from everyone that they would take a full cycle of the moon to integrate these things into their lives. So I'm also taking my time to get these things into my life, and it's slowing things down a bit, but it's also taking me through a lot of emotional ups and downs.

This has also been a long time coming in my life, so I'm probably going to emerge out the other side of all this a different person than I was going in. It should be interesting, but also will involve a lot of work on my part too.
