The Weekend
Jul. 5th, 2011 12:35 pmThat was rather productive...
I'm still working on getting things situated with the house. To that end I spent yesterday in the kitchen rearranging things to get more space and to determine what I do and don't need.
I now have one of the high cabinets almost completely empty at one door, and several others rather cleared out as well with only a few things left in them. The top shelf in the cabinet over the microwave is also empty, while most things are much better organized. And there's only a few things left on the butcher block -- mostly some paper stuff I need sighted assistance with.
Part of this process was also the running out of the food in the pantry. This opened up a lot of space, and I think with a little more work I can really finish this process in the kitchen soon.
With any luck my housekeeper will come by today or tomorrow and we can take care of the remaining stuff in the front bedroom. (I'll also get her to look at the contents of the butcher block and list the spices in my recently recovered spice rack so I can get them into Excel) This will clear the way for a roommate -- if any of my readers know of anyone looking for an inexpensive place to live in East Dallas, have them contact me.
I'm looking forward to getting this stuff finished. My next post will have a lot of things I need help on, and if anyone can assist, either locally or remotely, I'd greatly appreciate it
It feels good to get these things done.
