NaNoWriMo: Week 4
Nov. 29th, 2011 08:46 amWeek 1 Total 21,283
Week 2 Total 26,843
Week 3 Total 27,775
Week 4 Total 14,086
Current Total 89,987
As you can see, the fourth week slowed down. This is because after two days I finished the rough work for the book, and everything since Thanksgiving has been fill in work in earlier chapters. I'm surprised I got that much in. I have a coupld of things still to fill in, but that takes a lot more time, as I have to go back and read chapters to find places for those things to fit.
In the intervening time I wrote a novelette and a short story, too. This has energized my writing.
Of course, after the next couple of days the month will be over, and I hope to have those add-in sections finished so I can start proofing. Of course the first step is to run a nice happy spell check. Then comes some proof work. If anyone here is interested in doing some proofing for me, it'll get you a chance to read the novel before anyone else does. It shouldn't be that involved as I catch a lot of stuff early on in my own proofing, but if such work interests you and you want to read this little tale of a woman and her guide dog, let me know. (Note -- you must have Word 97 or later to do this)
