This was dramatically easier than the last time. I went ahead and brought my email up, and soon after he got the router plugged in my mail alert sounded. Things went fairly smoothly, but I also got the opportunity to make a rather interesting deal, mostly thanks to A's timely arrival.

The installer has some acerage, and he grows cows. He's going to send a couple of steers in for butchering, and we're contracting for a half. Yeah, it'll set us back over $800, but it'll be exactly how we want it cut and it'll be over 300lbs of meat. (Finally a good chance to use that freezer) This is organic grass fed beef, so it's far more healthy than what you'd get from the local grocery store, and it'll be at a reasonable price total.

J has moved his aquaria in already, and he's starting to get other things into the house as well. The studio is probably going to be completed this Friday, so I'll be in great shape there as well. The house feels a ton better in the atmosphere and vibe, and we're talking about hiring someone to come in and do some of the basic cleaning for us soon. Things are finally starting to settle down the way we wanted them to. M commented on this, and asked why things started working out as soon as she decided to leave. Looks pretty simple to me, but then again, I actually understand what Sir William of Occam was talking about.

I had over 250 messages in my inbox. My LJ friends list took just over one full page to get back to the last messages I'd read. The newsgroups weren't too bad, however. And I'm quite glad to be back online.
