Things are getting interesting...
I did my presentation yesterday. Don't know how I did in the teacher's eyes. Don't care, either. At this point my interest in this class is solely for the information I can get from it, and I could absolutely care less about all that grade nonsense.
An interesting thing happened yesterday, though. Since I'm on Diuretics, sitting for more than a couple of hours isn't an easy thing to do. So I bowed out before one of the presentations started and hit the restroom, then had to wait outside until the presentation finished. While I was out there I overheard a couple of grad students talking.
Now, one of the main reasons why I've given up on grad school after I move is because of options for graduate programs. The only state funded university in Dallas, where I'm moving to, that I can think of is UTD. Their psychology program is solely aimed at research. I want to do clinical.
Then one of the grad students mentions the UT Southwestern Medical University Psychology program.
Le Duh. A university right on a major train stop. Soon to be two major train stops.
I don't know if I'll do it or not -- I'm really burned out right now. But if I decide I want to there is an option for me that won't require high tuition and is nicely located. This is a good thing.
I have a minor presentation tomorrow, and then two finals next week and then I'm done. Then the packing really kicks into gear here and I start working on getting all this stuff into boxes so it can get moved down to the new house.
