Holly and the Wizards 2: Fourteen Days, is in the editing folder. At 452 pages without a cover,it's a shorter work. Genre is less YA than the first one, because I have four POV characters who are adults. It's still modern fantasy and misses the two juggernauts I refer to as the Two Harrys. It's got a theme of family, community membership, and the building of relationships. I've got two shorter works ahead of it, but when those are done either it or the penultimate juggernaut, Deja Vu 2: Jamais vu, will be up next.

I've got a second book in the series started by Love Meme?, and I'm firming up the plot (yes, plot, I know how to write plotted stories, it's not all situational writing) so I can do another high-speed burn. This would be a lot easier if I had my preferred keyboard, but it's not connecting to the KVMA switch, so its age might have caught up with it. Bummerment.

I'm working to distract myself -- my mind is currently trying to kill me, so I focus on other things than the scratchy old tapes that are full of noise and that annoying pitch old cassettes get when the lubrication sheets in it start to wear out. I also find it a good policy to not dwell on hopeless situations. So I'm focusing on writing. And yes, I've got the start of the third book in the Holly and the Wizards series started. There's a lot of other stuff too, so I don't think I'll be without inspiration anytime soon.

What a pair we make. *hugs you all of the hugs, again*

I had a dream last night that I was in a place where people traded genders all the time. That if you didn't have a gender you liked, you could just have some of mine. "Oh! I know, you and Xan should just swap even-stevens and be done with the whole mess." Like gender was just clothes and not considered part of your immutable characteristics. It was weird in that dream way where I was looking for something I never found, but that part of it was, in retrospect, pretty freaking cool.
