When Snoopy Dances He's Looking Up
Oct. 28th, 2025 05:31 pmPardon me for a quiet moment while I go over in the corner and Snoopy Dance…
I’ve been meaning to get on the phone with Kurzweil OCR and Freedom Scientific to get my Kurzweil 1000 (OCR and Scanning program for blind and VI folks) and JAWS upgraded. After voting today, which was all amendments, and grabbing to-go lunch from my local Kellers I made those calls. I’m a few bucks over $250 less funded (I wrote “poorer” at first but I don’t want that thinking in my life) but upgrades have been made, and how’s that for a passive voice sentence there, but I can OCR things without having to fire up an XP computer and… drumroll please, I can go back to using a search engine that doesn’t track my activity. This may mean that the problems I was having here with the browser closing are a thing of the past – I’m up for exploring that .
I heard back from my contact at the transplant clinic, and she’s talking with an infusion company that does their work in the home – it has come to this?
The bed arrives tomorrow, and the person who’ll put it together will show up soon afterward. It’s going to be a busy day.
I’m still sore from Sunday when I cleared out everything under and around my bed; I’ll think twice before doing something like that.
