Okay, all the paperwork is turned in at the school. Everything is set with the Division of Blind Services with the State. Grades are in. (four point for the summer. My Astronomy teacher wants to do a press release about his top student in an Astronomy class being visually impaired.) The handicapped hang tag is retrieved from the county, so that I can get a disabled handicapped assist hang tag from the school. Routes have been planned to get me to my class on the evil side of campus around the construction zone. All the doctor crap has been dealt with.

I am waiting on my purchase order for my books. I also need to sell some books back to the bookstore. I have an audition on Monday to determine what band and what combo I'll be in. I'll also need to set schedules with a couple of teachers for TBA classes.

I have a conference call on Friday with a company that has a product that very well may solve my conducting class woes. If this works, life could get very easy and that last big hurdle in the music department will be past. I'll be meeting with a representative from the company that makes the software, the head of the music department, and a representative from the Office of Students with Disabilities, plus possibly the Director of Jazz Studies.

It's been a productive summer. I've finished a couple of short stories, and I've gotten an idea for a very interesting novel, which I'm about sixteen hundred words into already. It's almost writing itself.

So far, the harvest season hasn't whacked me upside the head with any major life changes. Last harvest was surprisingly quiet, so I'm wondering if I'm not in for another whammy. I'm definitely keeping my head down.

But for the most part, everything is in the lap of the gods.
