Two things

First off, I finally got my MSN messenger account working again. The address has changed, s check it out. It's on my info page.

Second, a friend, Flaming Sword, requested a list of ten things I'd like to make my life happier. (YOu can see her journal forthe full details) Anything is okay on the list, so here goes:

1) My sight back. I have a lot of friends I'd like to see their faces again or for the first time. Besides, it's not fair that I don't have to suffer with the bad combovers, really tanned blondes with pale pink lipstick, and obese persons wearing too tight stretch pants like the rest of you do.

2) Any Ten hands CD, tonto Rides again by Tonto's Expanding head band, hard wired by Dave Weckl, or any missing Persons CD. (Not a greatest hits album)

3) Any season of Babylon 5 except season 2 on DVD.

4) Someone to come by and read me the installments of the transcendent comic Strangers in Paradise that have come out since I lost my sight.

5) Someone to come over and help me  with several technology problems. I need a program installed on several computers, some chips pulled on a synth module and the empty slots indexed, another synth opened to index empty chip slots, and several little things to get some tech working properly. All of this is stuff I cannot do by myself.

6) A decent remote for my laserdisc player (Pioneer D406) and reciever. (Not sure of the model number)

7) gift certificates to Target, JC Penney, foleys, Elictrique Boutique, and Nordstroms so that I can do a bit of wardrobe maintainance.

8) A decent food steamer, or at the very least, the timer knob for a Magic Chef FS-1 food steamer. I miss my steamer, and it still works but the knob shattered.

9) a cheap flute. Student model is fine. I want to keep working on playing that thing.

10) someone to assist me in transcribing my grandmother's recipes into the computer. Since they're handwritten, scanning won't work, especially for the ones she wrote in red ink.

Also, if Santa, you're reading this, I'd like a nice brunette, either gender, anywhere from mid twenties to early forties, nonsmoker, no kids and doesn't want any, who isn't a metaphysical newbie and can handle a smart-assed opinionated gender dysphoric sub. Since I'm blind, no need to bother wrapping this, and since we don't have room for a tree, just leave this by me on the bed -- push the dog out of the way if you have to, though he's usually pretty accomidating. Don't bother waking me, I like waking up to surprises. And since we don't have a chimney, just park things in the back yard and use the sliding glass door. Again, ignore the dog, he doesn't bite, he's just saying Hi. Though I'd normally leave cookies and milk, I figure with the economic downturn, you'd appreciate the bottle of Jack Black ninety proof on top of the fridge and the bottle of Earl Grey Metheglyn in the door of the fridge, in the small bottle a lot more.
