Got my grades for Summer II today. 4.0. It was hard won, as this Human Biology class was something of a beating, and the lab was hard too. But at least I'm through it.

So far I have straight A's in all my undergrad classes. My grad classes are a lot more mixed, but I'm keeping a solid 4.0 in all undergraduate classes. It'd be great if that counted, but only graduate classes count toward my GPA. Still, it's something of a matter of pride that I can keep doing well in undergraduate classes that I have to take for my equivelency requirements to get my degree.

I'm really enjoying this time between semesters. I didn't realize how much I needed the relaxation, and it's nice. I just finished one of the later DRagonrider books by Anne McCaffrey and her son Todd, and though I like the earlier stuff better, (ignoring some of the Mary Sue type aspects of it) it wasn't a bad book. During the semester I also made my way through several books, including biographies of Groucho, Lucille Ball, and the Three Stooges. I'm starting a Biography on Cary Grant now, and I've been doing some gaming writing, including working on Artistry stuff. I've finally decided to flesh out the Semi-Norse culture on my Fantasy world, and this is also involving what will probably turn into a Novella, New Vinland. It's been interesting blending the more modern elements of Reconstructionist Asatru practice with elements of Traditionalist Northern Heathenism, Party Viking stuff, Vanirtru based beliefs, and the Norse Wicca paths to create an amalgam of culture that covers a mix of the gamut of modern Scandinavian practice. It turns out that a lot of things make logical sense for this culture only if you take a more Traditionalist approach while adding more modern inventions like names and correspondances of runes and the other later additions as additional elements. It's also given me some interesting insight into what my teacher and I have been talking about.

Looks like I'm about to return to working in a coven again. We're sort of forming one up from people in a select group to start working moons and holidays again. I'm looking forward to the spiritual activity once more, as I've missed it. The only hitch is that the group will meet in Dallas or Irving, so I have to find a way to get there once a month. But that can be worked out.
