Let's start with the not so good.

On Monday Paratransit dropped me off at the wrong place. I was lucky they dropped me off early, so there was time to get it corrected. Still...

Today they got me there with no problems, though it was way early -- I was an hour and a half early.

The return driver didn't call, he didn't come in to check, he logged it as a no show and headed off. I had to call, and it was a ten minute hold to get them to send an Uber to get me, so I got home close to two hours late.

And in the more annoying news, my cholesterol is up a bit, so on Friday I'm going to have to talk to the nephrologist about putting me back on Lipitor. But the more concerning part of that was the blood sugar crash I was having a week ago when I came in for my labs. I was sort of thinking the number might be down a bit. Nope, not a bit, my blood sugar was 36 milliliters/deciliter. No, that's not a typo. That's going to need to stop happening, because I had two low sugar incidents in less than a week.

On the positive side, the Uber driver had something playing that sounded familiar, so I asked what he was grooving to. Snarky Puppy. I love their stuff, and if I wasn't immune suppressed I'd make sure to catch one of their shows at The Granada on September 22-23. We had a nice talk about what I like to think of as "Butts out of Seats Jazz", the kind of stuff that gets people shaking a bootie instead of sitting on it.

But on to the good news. My estrogen levels were a bit low, my T a bit high, and he said that was probably due to the anti-rejection meds, so we've raised both levels up. I've not had any mood stuff from the Esteridiol, so it's safe to up the level of that some to compensate.

And... He agreed to write my diagnosis for Gender Dysphoria. Now it'll go to the insurance company and they'll consult with Medicare to see if they can qualify me for GAS. If I'm really lucky I might be able to get it all done within this calendar year, which'll mean no more out of pocket. It'll be both top and bottom surgery.

Also, last night a notary friend came by so we could fill out the paperwork for my legal name change. She shorted me one page, the roommate two, so she'll drop those by this weekend. And the roommate is looking into someone nearby who can do the four fingerprint cards I need for this, so with any luck next week I'll file for a court date. There'll have to be a background check first, but again, with luck and controlled fluid levels in the nearby small scale waterway I could have this done before the end of the year. And after that I get my passport done and I can start the process of getting everything changed, including my diplomas. It's about time, I've only been thinking about how my assigned identity and gender didn't fit right for about 43 years.

So, all in all, on the positive side, but some things to address.
