1) Reporters embedded in military units, reporting only what they are told. Wow, it's getting even harder to tell the military and the Government from the Press.

2) When one side can GPS guide a bomb or missile using 23 satellites to a location within 5 inches of the target while the other side can guide a missile to a general 100 mile radius, that's not a war, it's a spanking, at least as artillery is concerned.

3) Yesterday evening, after watching Stargate, I turned on the coverage. After a while I said to the roomie that I was tired of the war, and the TV was shut off. I bet a lot of Iraqis wish they could do that.

4) That no-tipping bitch Natalie Maines got what she deserved, at least partially. I hope her CLM gets her dropped from her record label, so that she has to wind up waiting tables somewhere so she can feel what it is like when someone stiffs you on a tip.

5) A lot has changed on our world in 12 years. Now you can call our enemy leaders on their cell phones and ask them if they've had enough.

Natalie Maines is the lead singer of the Dixie Chicks. Last week in London she said she was ashamed that President Bush was from Texas. Since then, radio stations have refused to play Dixie Chicks songs and many ofthe fans are burning or otherwise destroying their CD's.

A while back I worked an a restaurant where the DIxie Chicks met their producer on a fairly regular basis. (This was right before they started getting big.) They had a reputation of never tipping, and they worked hard to keep that reputation intact. They were also often condescending or snotty to the waitstaff
