What an interesting two days...
When Yahoo determines that the last list owner or moderator is bouncing past the threshold they remove all moderation on a mailing list and open it up wide open. This is like a bug zapper with the shocker turned off to spammers.
Well, this happened to the Blind Musicians list. We ran the required poll, and I won, so I'm the new moderator. I immediately promoted the other person who ran to moderator as well, and started cleaning up the list, turning moderation on, and all that wonderful jazz. The list feels a lot better already.
This was my last spam-laden list on Yahoogroups, and it feels really good to have it reclaimed.
On other news, I finally got a chance to tell the person who I've been in love with for the past year how I felt, and amazingly enough didn't get rejected. We'll see how that pans out over time. We've talked a couple of times since then, and things are still happy. It hasn't hurt our friendship, either, so I'm quite happy about this.
