Well, glad that’s over.
On the bad side: way too many talented people taking the big sleep. Family drama. (no big surprise there) Less money thanks to covering car stuff. Weight release has stalled for another year, though it’s still way below my high mark. The gaming group imploded after I called the referee on his abusive behavior, so no gaming right now. And another lost friend, as she didn’t take care of herself and it took her out.
The Good Side: The Moody Blues in Vegas. Justin Hayward and Eric Johnson in concert. More Ten Hands shows. No more riding the bus all the time. Property values in my neighborhood are up. (No, seriously, *way* up, as in over 300% of what I paid four years ago) Health is still good. Still single. (coming up on six years with not even a glimmer of a date, and yes, this is a good thing) More publication by Magnets and Ladders. (total of 4 stories now) Process started to deal with the big issue, with hope that I’ll get to the top of the list soon and I can start that process in 2017. Lots more writing. Lots more early music too, which I’ve missed.
All in all it was a year, some good and some bad but nothing catastrophic. A typical 9 year. And I’m looking forward to new things next year. I’m not going to make any promises about posting here more often, but I’m going to try. And for those interested, go to www.magnetsandladders.org and search for Nicole Massey – Flakes, The Telegraph, Pink Slip, and Working are the titles.
