I first heard this on the show World Cafe a good while ago, when I was listening to KXT (KKXT 91.7 in the DFW area) a lot. (It's around the same time I got turned on to Nonono, Marc Broussard, and First Aid Kit) This song grabbed me so hard I went on a search to find it.

I love the guitar tones in this tune. Cool drumming, almost a surf rhythm. The lead singer has a cool sound and she's got some nice expressiveness to how she sings. Also excellent horn work, and the duet section with the trumpet and trombone has enough pitch variation that it's clear it's not two sounds played on a keyboard. Plus you get both vibes and a Theremin -- what's not to love about it?

It's off their album Real, pronounced the Spanish way. (Re Al) I like the whole album, but this is the standout track.
Enjoy.
