Okay, I'll bite, but only because it fits with both some writing I'm doing already and a class I'm taking.

I'm going to put down a list of genres and I will craft a one hundred word flash fiction piece in that genre with any two characters you define, as long as I am familiar with them. If I do this, you will follow suit by doing the same thing in your journal -- making a list of genres and providing the same flash fiction excerpts on the same condition. I got this from Prodigal, so shoot him, not me.

Here's the genres:
1. Star Trek (the original series, not any of the spin offs. this includes all six original cast movies, but not that travesty, Generations)
2. Stargate SG-1
3. The world of Ethshar, by Lawrence Watt Evans
4. Babylon 5
5. Gilmore Girls (Yeah, I know, but it sounds like fun)
6. Illusions, byy Richard Bach
7. Mage, The Ascention
8. The writings of Hunter S. Thompson
9. Tremors: The Series
10. Andromeda.

I'll keep this all PG in relation to adult themes and violence. I will also entertain crrossovers in closely related series.

Fire away.

Lera sat in her secluded grove, fighting to ignore the subtle voice in the back of her mind. She was worried -- she was starting to hear the calling. Suddenly, her concentration was broken by flapping wings. Her mind focused, pushing on the large bird to keep it away. But it was no use as it got closer. Mystified, she turned to see the roc or other great bird entering her grove. What she saw surprised her.
“Well, well, the stories are true.”
The winged girl landed in front of Lera. Lera extended a hand. “You could only be Irith.”
