nyykiSo, after three hours standing in the Cingular (Soon to be AT&T) store, I finally made it out with my new stuff.
We got my phone switched over from my Dad's name to mine. This is a good thing, because it makes me eligible for assistance on my phone bills since I'm disabled. I also got a new phone, and I've finally left the Nokia fold, as this new phone is a Sony/Erickson phone. It came with a data cable, which is very important to me, and also is Bluetooth capable. It has a radio in it, which seems weird, a camera which I won't be using, and accepts MP3's, so I'll need to get voice recordings of friends for selective rings.
Since I need the headset, I went ahead and popped for the Bluetooth headset bundle that includes the headset and a car charger. This was a good thing, and I'm already liking this bluetooth thing. It takes a bit of getting used to having the thing on your ear, but it's very nice to touch a button on the ear and then you're talking. And the headset really sounds pretty good.
So, I have new technologies to play with. I'm looking forward to seeing what the data cable lets me do. I'm also looking forward to the voice dialing features on the phone. I'll be playing with this a bit.
