The Lap of the Gods
Apr. 19th, 2007 06:03 pmFor those of you unfamiliar with the term, it refers to a situation being past any action from the person making the statement, as in, when you fire off a heat guided missle, it's in the lap of the gods what happens thereafter.
The Electric Piano is now in the Jazz closet to make things easier. All rehearsals are done. The Programs are in my backpack. The posters have been put up. I still need to get pizzas and sodas for the musicians, but that's the last thing I have to do before my recital at 3pm Sunday. (Well, I have to get dressed and be there at call at 2pm, but that shouldn't be much of a problem) I have all the resources lined up, all the logistics and people are in place, and pretty much everything is ready to go.
I also have to study for a statistics test and write a 3-4 page paper, but that happens on tuesday. So it'll be all done with my recital by then
What's gonna get done for the music is done. It's in the lap of the gods now, and since we're talking about Jazz, it should be interesting to hear what comes out the other end.
