A few things about school and the weather
Mar. 6th, 2008 01:00 pmYesterday I had to simulate my gratest adversary in Percussion class, the testosterone drummer. It was rough, because it's so foreign to my thinking and approach to group improvisation that I really had to get outside of myself to do it.
Snowflakes the size of a quarter... never seen that before. I had a chunk of snow that fell off my back when I took my scarf off.
I've gotten my guitar lesson moved, so I'm now on the three day a week plan. That'll give me more time to practice the dozen or so things I need to practice all the time. We finally found a decent version of John Lennon's song In My Life (from the Rubber Soul Album) so I finally have all my repertoire.
The leg is still being a putz, looks like I might wind up back in the hospital for spring break if it doesn't improve much more.
I'm now to the part of the semester where I really need my studio for class work, so I'm going to have to find someone to help me get it set up the rest of the way. A lot of this depends on my rack that I need to put the rest of the stuff in, but hopefully I'll get that worked out soon so I can get things set up like they should be and start using the MIDI side of things again.
