I have to occasionally use the Denton Access service that provides transportation for handicapped and disabled folks. Last Friday, they completely lost my reservation, so I was lucky that my new roommate was available as a backup to get to a doctor's appointment.
I called them yesterday for an appointment to the hospital to get a test done to see what's going on with this damned no-healing leg I have. They told me that they were too busy around the time of my 12:15 appointment, and to try to change it and call them back.
So, at 11:30 today, the driver shows up to take me there. I hadn't even made an appointment with them. My roommate was on hand again, so I figured I'd just keep my appointment time and not hassle with that headache, so I never called Access back.
Someone needs to get their rectal encephalitis diagnosed and cured. The poor driver was pretty frustrated, too, and he said this is fairly normal for them. Argh.
