The Party

It went well. The idea of creating a playlist and then letting it play was wonderful, as we had constant music the entire time from 4pm to about 2am when we shut the party down.

That was some seriously good rum. I have a bottle of Wray and Nephew 8 year old Jamacian rum that I bought in 1994, and I finally popped the cap on it last night. Truly wonderful.

Not as many guests as expected, but a few surprises, andthe house is still fairly clean. Our house cleaner was in attendance as well, and she's coming over to help with the clean up today.

I pulled the top off the game table and explained the rules of bumper pool to the guests, and that went on for about four hours and was a hit. The table seems to still be level, so the re-construction of the table base seems to be settling well enough

I bought a lot of groceries in preparation, so since turnout was a bit lower I'll not have to go to the store very soon, something of a godsend.

We also had a small drum jam, and that went well too.

I've been wanting to have a good housewarming party since before I moved in here, and this fit the bill. I'll possibly have another Samhain party, and maybe a Yule party as well, so if you missed it, there are other possibilities.

Sounds like so much fun. I wish I could have been there.

I'm sorry we missed the festivities. Glad you had a good turnout though.
